Commercial Rating Review
The Scottish Government has announced the rate in the pound as 40.7p with a poundage supplement of 0.7p for larger businesses.
New draft rateable values are now available via the Scottish Assessors website www.saa.gov.uk.
In England, Wales and Scotland the new values came into force on 1 April 2010 and unless challenged and checked will remain in place for the next 5 years. Please note that an appeal must be lodged by 31st September 2010.
Northern Ireland has chosen to postpone its revaluation until 2011.
